What is WoFle?

WoFle is a free daily guessing game for Wings of Fire, the series by Tui T. Sutherland. Every day there is one dragon to identify, and it is the same dragon for everyone in the world. A new one arrives at midnight UTC.

You are not guessing letters. You name any dragon you like, and the board scores your guess against the answer across nine attributes — tribe, continent, gender, status, first book, debut arc, role, royalty and powers. Green means an exact match, yellow means partial (a hybrid that shares one tribe, or an overlapping power), and the book column points up or down to tell you whether the answer appears earlier or later in the series.

How to play

  1. Type any Wings of Fire dragon's name and press Guess.
  2. Read the nine tiles: green is exact, yellow is partial, dark is no match.
  3. Follow the ↑ and ↓ on the Book tile to narrow down when the dragon appears.
  4. Find today's dragon in eight guesses or fewer.
  5. Come back tomorrow for a new WoFle.

Spoilers

WoFle will not spoil a book you haven't reached. Set how far you've read in settings and nothing beyond that point is used as an answer, offered in the search box, or revealed on a tile — deaths included. If the day's dragon is from past where you are, you're warned before you play rather than being shown them.

Three puzzles a day

WoFle has three modes, each with its own dragon, its own streak and its own share: Classic scores nine attributes per guess, Emoji reveals five emoji one at a time, and Clue gives three clues then two hints. Solve all three and share them together.

About

WoFle is made by Wings Up Anthems, a fan project that writes original songs for the dragons of Wings of Fire. Every dragon you solve links to their profile and, where one exists, their anthem.
