About Wings Up Anthems

Wings Up Anthems writes original songs for the dragons of Wings of Fire, the bestselling series by Tui T. Sutherland. Every track is a character study set to music — an anthem built from who that dragon actually is: what they survived, what they want, and what it cost them.

The catalog spans the whole timeline — the Legends era, the Dragonet Prophecy, Jade Mountain, the Lost Continent, and beyond — and every kind of dragon: heroes and villains, queens and assassins, and the quiet ones who hold everyone else together. Lyrics appear in every video.

How the songs are made

Each song starts with the character — their book arc, their voice, their contradictions — written into original lyrics, then produced with AI-assisted music tools. The stories, interpretations, and words are ours; the dragons belong to Tui T. Sutherland and Scholastic. This is a fan project, made with love for the series, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the author or publisher.

More than the music

The songs came first, but they turned into something bigger: a single, carefully-checked record of who these dragons are. That record now powers the dragon index — a profile for every dragon we've written for — and it's what the games are built on, starting with WoFle, a daily Wings of Fire guessing game.

One rule holds the whole thing together: facts are facts, and everything written is ours. Attribute values — tribe, era, rank, powers — are drawn from the Wings of Fire Wiki (CC BY-SA) and verified by hand. Every word of prose on this site, in the songs and on the profiles, is original writing. We don't reproduce artwork from the books, and we don't quote their text.

Spoilers

Arc 4 began in 2026 with The Hybrid Prince, and a lot of readers are somewhere in the middle of the series. The games carry a “books I've read” setting so nothing above your place in the story gets shown to you — deaths included.

Where to start

New here? Start with the Anthology — one anthem for each of the most beloved dragons. If you like story in your music, the four-part Darkstalker Saga is the deep end. And if you already have a favorite dragon, look them up in the index.

Tell us something

Corrections, song ideas, or a bug in one of the games — the feedback page is the place, and you can email [email protected] instead if you'd rather. Facts get checked against the books, so if something here disagrees with them, we want to know which dragon and which book.
