Cirrus, an assumed identity, revealed in Escaping Peril. Severe-looking, with silvery-white scales and wings, pale purple underscales, and cold snakelike eyes. Appears from The Lost Heir's prologue through Moon Rising, Winter Turning and Escaping Peril; it was Cirrus who minded Pyrite among the Talons of Peace and resisted the Jade Winglet taking her. The Pyrite page states the case is broken down in Escaping Peril, 'when it turned out that Cirrus was a RainWing named Chameleon who worked for Ex-Queen Scarlet', which fixes identity_revealed_in at that volume. None of these traits belong to Chameleon himself.
Soar, an assumed identity, revealed in Escaping Peril. Warm golden-orange scales, large orange wings, hooded amber eyes, no visible scars, and a deeper voice than Chameleon's. It was as Soar that Chameleon fathered Peril and Sky with Kestrel in Queen Scarlet's breeding program; the infobox records Kestrel as his partner and Peril and Sky as his dragonets 'as Soar'. In Escaping Peril he told Peril his name was Soar, revealed he was her father, and then told her he was a RainWing named Chameleon — the reveal that fixes identity_revealed_in. None of these traits belong to Chameleon himself.
Shapeshifter, an assumed identity, revealed in Escaping Peril. Black scales, narrow black eyes, hulking and enormous, hung with dark jewellery and iron boxes on chains; the page credits the form with extra strength, extraordinarily hot fire and invulnerable scales, and notes a wall of humming that stops Moonwatcher reading its mind. As Shapeshifter he spoke with Ex-Queen Scarlet in the Moon Rising epilogue and put Kinkajou in a coma in Winter Turning. The Escaping Peril section names the NightWing form as Chameleon's on the page ('This was Chameleon in his NightWing form'), which is the volume recorded here. None of these traits belong to Chameleon himself.
Bog, an assumed identity, revealed in Darkness of Dragons. Mud-brown scales under an enormous amount of jewellery, with a pouch under one wing holding his pieces of Darkstalker's scroll. Appears only in Darkness of Dragons: a false hostage in Vulture's lair who lied to Qibli and Winter about the MudWings, and later the form Kinkajou followed in the Night Kingdom until he came back out as Shapeshifter and Qibli realised both dragons were Chameleon — the moment recorded as identity_revealed_in. None of these traits belong to Chameleon himself.
